Azerbaijani wrestlers finished the World Championship with seven medals
Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Ibrahim Hasanov won a silver medal at the U17 World Championship being held in Baku.
As Report informs, the athlete competing in the up to 51 kg weight category lost to Iran's Benyamin Maivan 1:5 in the final and took second place on the podium.
Thus, the Azerbaijani wrestling team finished the World Championship with a total of seven medals.
It should be recalled that Ali Javadli (45 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg), and Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg) had earlier become silver medalists at the Greco-Roman wrestling World Championship.
Bronze medals were won by Omar Salmanov (48 kg), Elmir Cherkyazov (60 kg), and Orkhan Habibli (65 kg).
