Drone attack on Turkish vessel in the Black Sea: there are injured

Drones attacked a Turkish vessel in the Black Sea.

A fire broke out on the Ro-Ro type vessel named NADHEZNA, which was carrying fruits and vegetables from Turkey to Russia and sailing under the Turkish flag, after the strike.

As a result of the incident, four crew members were injured, three of whom are Turkish citizens. It is reported that the vessel was en route from Samsun to the Russian port of Novorossiysk and was attacked 30 nautical miles from the city at 4:30 PM local time (5:30 PM Baku time - ed.).

The captain of the vessel, Yalçın Şahin, stated that the strike was carried out by the Ukrainian side. According to him, 6-7 drones were used in the attack. He also reported that the crew is awaiting assistance and that everyone on board survived.

After the incident, the sailors began extinguishing the fire on their own. According to available information, due to ongoing UAV activity in the area of the incident, Russian Navy ships have so far been unable to approach the vessel to provide assistance.
