Estonia will open an embassy in Azerbaijan in the autumn
The Embassy of Estonia in Azerbaijan will open in Baku in the fall of 2026.
This was reported to Report by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
"The newly appointed Ambassador of Estonia, Tiina Nirk, is currently in Baku, and the opening of the Estonian Embassy is planned for the fall," a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
As a reminder, in October 2025, Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsahkna announced plans to open the Embassy of Estonia in Azerbaijan in Baku in 2026.
Until now, the Estonian diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan operated with its residence in Ankara (Turkey).
