The FIFA Club World Cup, which will take place in 2025 in the USA, will be remembered for a number of innovations.

As reported by BAKU.WS, new rules will be introduced in the tournament, concerning both goalkeepers and referees.

These changes will be implemented for the first time in the tournament, which will be held from June 14 to July 13.

Referees will use technological innovations - during matches they will wear body cameras. Thanks to these cameras, fans will have the opportunity to observe games directly from the referee's point of view.

On the other hand, a certain limit has been established to prevent goalkeepers from wasting time. That is, the goalkeeper can hold the ball in their hands for a maximum of 8 seconds. If the time limit is exceeded, the opposing team is awarded a corner kick.

The chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, Pierluigi Collina, commented on this issue.

"The ability to observe what the referee sees will be a new experience for spectators. This is an interesting and unusual opportunity for fans," he noted.
