Russell claimed pole position at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix
Mercedes driver George Russell set the fastest time in the qualifying session of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, Charles Leclerc from Ferrari took second place, and Oscar Piastri from McLaren finished third.
Russell's best lap time was 1 minute 42.526 seconds.
In today's third free practice session, Max Verstappen from Red Bull was the leader.
The day before, Russell set the fastest time in both practice sessions.
