The presentation ceremony of the book "We are learning the Azerbaijani language" was held
On November 18, the presentation of the book "We are learning Azerbaijani language" took place at the Park Akademiya branch of the LIBRAFF bookstore chain, co-authored by Sabina Aliyeva, Khuzura Agayeva, and Gyulara Amirova.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the event was attended by the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, the head of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva, and Alyona Aliyeva.
Speaking at the presentation, co-author of the book Sabina Aliyeva noted that the book is designed for children aged 4-6 and aims to teach the native language to children being raised in preschool educational institutions operating in our country, including our young compatriots living outside Azerbaijan, to instill in them a love for their native language and to form communication skills in their native language from an early age:
"One of the main goals of creating this book is to teach the Azerbaijani language, as well as to form a connection with the national values and culture of our country. The book consists of 8 sections in total and is dedicated to various topics. One of the most interesting features of the book is that it is prepared based on pictures. Children of this age have not yet developed reading and writing skills. Therefore, taking into account the peculiarities of children's perception, the topics are explained with the help of pictures. On the other hand, the learning process with pictures makes it more engaging and memorable.
One of the most interesting sections is the "listen and learn" section. Here, poems by Azerbaijani poets are read in audio format, that is, in an audio version scanned by a QR code. In addition, the book contains the most necessary expressions, words, and sentences for developing initial communication skills in young children, and the goal is to make the learning process more systematic. As is known, written words and expressions, as well as poems, are read and learned with children of this age group by teachers and parents. The book serves as a kind of guide for teachers and parents."
The editor of the book, Professor Sevinj Aliyeva, noted that the book, which is the fruit of three years of work, is an expression of love for our language and commitment to our values. She expressed confidence that the publication will also become a favorite book for Azerbaijani children living and growing up abroad.
The speakers - Vice-Rector for International Relations at Azerbaijan University of Languages Zhalya Garibova, writer, poet, educator, Professor Zahid Khalil, member of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan, editor-in-chief of Göyärçin magazine Professor Rafig Yusifoglu, and Abdullah Shaig's grandson and director of his house-museum Ulker Talybzade - reminded those present of the statements from President Ilham Aliyev's speech at the meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. It was noted that, as the head of state emphasized, preserving the purity of the Azerbaijani language should be the business of every citizen of Azerbaijan. That is, the state, scientists, linguists, writers, poets, journalists, everyone involved in politics should pay great attention to this.
The speakers noted the care provided for the Azerbaijani language at the state level and talked about the steps taken in this direction. The speakers highly appreciated the book "We are learning Azerbaijani" as a teaching aid, expressed confidence that it will be useful for children to learn to think and speak simply and clearly in their native language, and that such projects will be sustainable.
During the event, an artistic part was also presented, and several poems from the book were reproduced using QR codes.
