What is happening in Thailand? Three finalists of "Miss Universe - 2025" have contracted a serious illness

The finals of the "Miss Universe - 2025" contest, which is taking place in Thailand, has already gone down in history as one of the most scandalous. Several unpleasant episodes occurred during the preparation and events.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Starhit, the first incident occurred when one of the show's organizers, Nawat Itsaragrisil, yelled at Mexico's representative Fatima Bosh without apparent reason, calling her stupid.

Shortly after, it became known that several finalists ended up in the hospital due to food poisoning. Brigitta Shabak from Estonia, Sanli Liu from Indonesia, and Kincso Dezhenyi from Hungary were affected. While the first two recovered quickly, 21-year-old Kincso had to spend several days in the hospital.

"We regretfully announce that our queen 'Miss Universe Hungary - 2025' Kincso Dezhenyi contracted a serious illness during the international competition and now requires inpatient treatment. Unfortunately, because of this, she missed part of the events, but is doing everything possible to recover quickly. We are confident that she will be able to shine in the finals. Thank you to Thailand for the highly professional medical care," her representatives reported.

The global community is already expressing dissatisfaction: many believe that the contest organizers did not provide participants with quality food, and now the situation threatens to escalate into an international scandal. There are concerns that there might be more people falling ill. For instance, Sanli Liu mentioned that other crown contenders were poisoned along with her, although she did not name names, so the number of victims may be significantly higher.

"I just suffered from poisoning, but the doctors worked very promptly. I had to cancel participation in several events as soon as symptoms appeared, and this greatly upset me," she admitted.

The Russian participant, 22-year-old Anastasia Venza, feels well and is actively preparing for the finals. However, support in her homeland is modest: many believe that she lacks the charisma, charm, and vibrant energy that judges usually value. Anastasia herself is confident that her many years of modeling experience will help her appeal to the public.

She recalled that her passion for the fashion world emerged in childhood. Back then, she was inspired by the possibility of telling stories through images without words. At 14, after successfully passing her school exams, she decided to try her hand in the modeling sphere. The first step was Vyacheslav Zaitsev's school, where she went to learn runway walking, camera work, and the basics of professional makeup. She could not have imagined that at the final show, Vyacheslav Zaitsev and his son Egor would notice her and invite her to their agency.
