Moscow and Damascus have reached an agreement on the restoration of patrol service and deployment of Russian army posts in areas bordering Israel in southern Syria.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is according to Suriya TV and Ynet.

According to the information, Russian military has already begun patrolling in Quneitra province. Starting from today, Russian posts have been restored on the line of contact between Syria and Israel - on the Golan Heights, as well as in other southern directions that existed under Bashar Assad's regime.

According to the agreements reached, Russia will continue to protect its bases in Khmeimim and Tartus, as well as use them for logistical purposes. The Kremlin will facilitate the normalization of relations between Damascus and Alawites in Latakia.

In addition, Russia will sell gasoline, diesel fuel, and crude oil to Syria at below-market prices, as well as provide assistance with construction materials.

Moscow will also provide military support to Damascus. A unified air defense system that existed under Assad's regime will be restored in Damascus and will be under the control of Russian specialists. Russia will train Syrian army fighters, which will be paid for by Saudi Arabia.

Along with this, control over the situation related to the Druze will again be transferred to Russia. At the same time, Moscow will provide Damascus with support in relations with the Kurds.
