German Defense Minister: We may have had the last peaceful summer

Some military historians believe that the summer of 2025 may be the last peaceful one, after which a war between NATO and Russia will begin. However, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius believes that the conflict will occur before 2029.

As reported by BAKU.WS, he made this statement in an interview with the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

"We have always said that this could happen in 2029. However, now there are those who believe that it is possible as early as 2028, and some military historians even think that we have experienced the last peaceful summer," Pistorius said in a conversation with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

During the interview, Pistorius also noted that it is necessary to strengthen the equipment of NATO countries' Armed Forces for potential confrontation with Russia. At the same time, he emphasized that currently the alliance has significant deterrence capabilities, including both conventional and nuclear means.
