Vance: Republicans Lost the Election Because of the War with Iran

US Vice President JD Vance stated that Republicans lost the elections because of the military operation against Iran initiated by the Washington administration.
Vance wrote about this on the social network X.
"We lost because of the war. The president himself said so last night," he noted.
According to Vance, polling results showed that many voters who had voted for Trump in 2024 were dissatisfied and intended to support the Democrats. When asked what could prompt them to return to the Republicans, they named four main conditions: ending the war, focusing on the cost of living and inflation, returning to the "America First" policy, and changing the US relationship with Israel.
Vance emphasized that the problem was not Republican voter turnout, but rather that some Trump supporters who had voted for him in 2024 chose the Democrats in 2026.
He also noted that in the coming months there may be proposals for amnesty as a way to solve the Republicans' problems, but he called such initiatives the wrong answer to the causes of the defeat.
The Vice President added that any honest analysis of the election results and the Republicans' next steps must begin with acknowledging the role of the war in their defeat.
