Ilham Aliyev: The Azerbaijani people have given many great personalities to world culture

The Azerbaijani people have given world culture many great figures, poets, and thinkers.

As BAKU.WS reports, President Ilham Aliyev said this at a meeting with participants of an international conference in Baku.

Naming some of the figures, the head of state noted: "Listing their names shows how rich in talent our people and our land are: Nizami Ganjavi, Khagani Shirvani in the 12th century, Imadeddin Nasimi in the 14th century, Yahya Bakuvi in the 15th century, Shah Ismail Khatai, Muhammad Fuzuli in the 16th century. Each of them is an entire world."
