Government agencies in Baku will introduce staggered work schedules for two months starting September 15 as part of a pilot project.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

The new schedule will affect government agencies, as well as legal entities with state participation and public legal entities established on behalf of the state, located in Baku and surrounding areas.

Working hours will be organized in three shifts: 08:00–17:00, 09:00–18:00, and 09:30–18:30, with at least 30% of employees assigned to each shift. During the pilot period, the relevant government agencies will assess traffic congestion, and based on the analysis, final proposals regarding work schedules will be prepared.

It should be noted that the introduction of staggered work schedules is provided for in the State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku and Surrounding Areas for 2025-2030, approved by a decree of the President of Azerbaijan.
