Religious leaders of Turkic states addressed an appeal to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev

Members of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) addressed an appeal to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by Azertaj, the appeal expressed deep gratitude to Ilham Aliyev for the attention and support provided in connection with the holding of the VII meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the OTS in Baku, as well as the First International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the outstanding Azerbaijani scholar-thinker Sheikh Seyid Yahya Bakuvi.

Religious leaders highly appreciated the model of multiculturalism and tolerance of Azerbaijan, as well as the country's role in promoting interfaith harmony and inter-civilizational cooperation. The appeal particularly noted the initiatives of Ilham Aliyev aimed at developing interreligious and intercultural dialogue.

The Council members also noted Azerbaijan's achievements, the restoration and construction work in Karabakh, the Great Return process, and the strengthening of spiritual solidarity with the countries of the Turkic world.

In conclusion of the appeal, Ilham Aliyev was wished success in his activities aimed at achieving new successes for Azerbaijan on the international stage.
