Growing Tensions in Russian-Armenian Relations and the Shifting Political Balance in the South Caucasus
Another episode of the program "What Are They Saying About Us?" (Bizdən nə danışırlar?) aired on Baku TV.
It is noted that last week, foreign media actively covered Armenia's geopolitical course, the growing tensions in Russian-Armenian relations, and changes in the political balance in the South Caucasus.
As reported in the program, Reuters and The Associated Press wrote that Yerevan's attempts to integrate into the Western community are causing concern in Moscow. The publications emphasized that Russia is using various mechanisms to influence Armenia's foreign policy course and that within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, warnings were issued to the Armenian side regarding its European course.
The program also addressed the statements of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on relations with Azerbaijan. It was noted that the head of the Georgian government pointed to the strategic importance of cooperation with our country in the field of gas and electricity imports and transit, as well as the importance of the functioning of the Baku - Tbilisi - Supsa oil pipeline.
