Azerbaijani judoka became world champion
Azerbaijani judoka Farid Rzazade has become the Junior World Champion.
As reported to BAKU.WS by the Judo Federation of Azerbaijan, the athlete competing in the under-50 kg weight category won the gold medal on the first day of the World Championship in Guayaquil (Ecuador).
On his way to the final, Farid Rzazade defeated Suleyman Dogru (Turkey), Bekarys Kudaibergen (Kazakhstan), and Arthur Bonato (Brazil). In the decisive bout, he defeated Adilzhan Nurbeken from Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that today three more juniors from Azerbaijan will step onto the tatami at the World Championship.
