The actor from "Banditsky Petersburg" has died

Russian theater and film actor Yuri Tsurilo passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 79. The cause of death has not been specified. The information about his death was confirmed by the actor's son Vsevolod Tsurilo.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the portal "Kino-teatr.ru," information about Tsurilo's death appeared on the actor's page. His son also announced the tragedy on social media, calling his father a wonderful person and an outstanding actor.

Yuri Tsurilo was born on December 10, 1946, in the city of Vyazniki, Vladimir Oblast. Over the course of his career, he played more than 140 roles in film and television. The actor gained widespread recognition after the release of Aleksei German's film "Khrustalyov, My Car!".

Tsurilo also appeared in the films "The Cuckoo" ("In August of '44"), "The Priest," "The Fool," "Piter FM," "Storm Gate," "The Last Warrior," and other projects.
