In Kamchatka, a group of 16 tourists, including a citizen of Azerbaijan, has been cut off from the outside world due to road destruction and river flooding.

This was reported in an appeal by the aforementioned citizen of Azerbaijan, traveler Tatyana Dolivets, published on her Instagram account. According to her, the group is unable to leave the area due to road destruction and river flooding.

"I am Tatyana Dolivets, a citizen of Azerbaijan. An experienced traveler. With 69 countries under my belt. Our group of tourists is stranded in Kamchatka at Tapchibasik (possibly a mistake, likely referring to the Plosky Tolbachik volcano - ed.) at the 'Kleshnya' campsite.

The road has been washed away. 30 km of the return route has been eroded by water, the river has overflowed its banks, and returning is not possible," the appeal states.

According to the woman, the group is traveling in a "Ural" truck. She also claims that in addition to the 16 tourists, there are about 100 more people in the area who have been cut off due to the effects of the bad weather.

"We only have food supplies for one day," the appeal notes.

The author of the post called on the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia, and other relevant agencies to assist in evacuating the people. She also asked for the information to be shared.
