A new state duty has been established in Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to President.az, President Ilham Aliyev approved the proposed amendments to the Merchant Shipping Code, the laws "On Road Traffic," "On Transport," "On State Duty," "On the List of Items That May Belong to Certain Participants in Civil Circulation and Are Permitted in Circulation on the Basis of a Special Permit (Items with Limited Civil Circulation)," "On Motor Transport," and "On Aviation."

According to the law, an autonomous vehicle operator will be able to carry out activities only after obtaining a certificate.

It is within this framework that the rate of the state duty charged for issuing a certificate to an autonomous vehicle operator is established.

Thus, a person wishing to obtain a certificate must pay a duty of 20 manats.

It should be noted that the certificate will be issued for a period of 5 years.
