Trump made an unexpected statement about the war in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump believes that the conflict in Ukraine could have led to the start of World War III, but now the situation is partly under control.

"Such things can lead to World War III," the American leader said in an interview with the American internet portal OutKick. "I think it's partly under control," he added. "I have good relations with President Putin and with President Zelensky actually too," the American leader emphasized.

"It would be wonderful to stop this," Trump said, speaking about the Russian-Ukrainian war. Trump did not give a definitive answer to the question of whether he thinks he would deserve the Nobel Peace Prize if the conflict were to end through his mediation.
