The Kremlin responded to Trump's announcement about concluding a peace agreement this week

Russia remains open to finding ways for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and continues to work in this direction with the United States of America.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Russian media, this was stated by the Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov during a briefing with journalists.
"You know, I would not like to give any comments now, especially regarding timeframes. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Russian side remain open to seeking a peaceful settlement, continue to interact with the American side. And, of course, we hope that this work will bring its results," said the Kremlin representative, commenting on the statement by the President of the United States of America Donald Trump that the Russian Federation and Ukraine could conclude an agreement to end the conflict as early as this week.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed hope that a deal on settlement in Ukraine would be reached this week.
