Ilham Aliyev ordered the $500 thousand prize to be transferred to the Karabakh Revival Fund

On September 14, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders Mohammed Abdelsalam, during a meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, presented the head of state with the certificate of the "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity."

This was reported by the presidential press service.

It should be noted that President Ilham Aliyev was awarded this prize in 2026 for efforts made to achieve peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

According to the terms of the award, the President of Azerbaijan receives a monetary prize of 500 thousand US dollars.

President Ilham Aliyev decided to transfer this entire amount to the Karabakh Revival Fund.
