President of Azerbaijan received Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders

On September 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders Mohamed Abdelsalam.

As reported by AZERTAC, during the conversation, the previous meetings between President Ilham Aliyev and Mohamed Abdelsalam were noted with satisfaction.

The successful cooperation between our country and the Muslim Council of Elders was emphasized. At the same time, the important role that Azerbaijan plays at the global level in strengthening Islamic solidarity was highlighted. In this context, the significance of the 7th meeting of Muslim religious leaders of the Organization of Turkic States being held in Baku, as well as the Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which will be held in Azerbaijan next year, was noted. It was emphasized that religious relations in our country are regulated at a high level.

During the conversation, it was recalled that earlier this year, the President of Azerbaijan was awarded the "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity." The guest presented the head of state with the certificate of this award.
