The European Parliament has approved a loan of 90 billion euros to Ukraine
The European Parliament has approved a loan of 90 billion euros for Ukraine.
This was announced by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen at a press conference in Brussels.
"The use of this money stipulates that weapons should be purchased mainly in Ukraine, in the EU, or in the countries of the European Free Trade Area," she said.
The President of the European Commission also stated that such significant funds should provide additional benefits for the EU, such as job creation and strengthening Europe's defense-industrial base.
Von der Leyen added that the purchase of American or other weapons outside of Europe will only be possible in cases where the necessary systems do not exist in the European arsenal.
