Media: Trump told G7 leaders that he could walk away from agreements with Putin
American President Donald Trump, at the Group of Seven (G7) summit in France, signaled to foreign leaders that he might back out of the agreements he reached with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during a bilateral meeting in Anchorage (Alaska).
As reported by Oxu.Az, this claim is contained in a piece published on the Axios portal, which cites its own sources.
"Two officials present at the summit said that Trump expressed his frustration with Putin and even suggested he might walk away from the Anchorage agreements, under which the U.S. agreed to Russia's demand that it would control <...> the Donbas as part of any deal," the article states.
According to the publication's source, despite Trump's skepticism, "other [G7] leaders do not believe he will actually do anything in that direction."
