Pezeshkian's plane made an emergency landing

The plane of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who was returning from Bishkek, landed at Rasht International Airport instead of Tehran.

This was reported by the Telegram channel "Free Iran."

The Airbus A321 carrying Pezeshkian and his entourage landed in Rasht on its way from Kyrgyzstan.

On the evening of September 1, air defense systems were activated in the eastern part of Tehran.

Iranian media report that amid the activation of air defense systems, Pezeshkian's plane was rerouted, after which the aircraft was directed toward Rasht.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities have not yet officially disclosed the exact reason for the plane's landing in Rasht. There is also no information yet on whether the plane continued its flight after landing.
