Poland's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Paweł Radomski, was summoned to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was handed a note of protest in connection with a segment aired on the TVP World television channel.

This was reported by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A strong protest was expressed to the Polish side in connection with a segment broadcast on August 26, 2026, on the Eastern Express program of the Polish public broadcasting company TVP.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the material contained biased, unobjective, and completely unacceptable claims directed against the Azerbaijani state and the country's leadership. A protest was also expressed regarding the provocative behavior of the program's host.

"The Polish diplomat was informed that the dissemination of information distorting reality raises concerns on the Azerbaijani side, especially during the period of normalization of relations and the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as Baku's consistent efforts to ensure sustainable peace, stability, and security in the region," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.

The ministry also noted that the dissemination of negative materials about Azerbaijan on a public broadcasting company funded by the Polish government is regarded as an unfriendly step that contradicts the spirit of partnership between the two countries and is capable of causing serious damage to bilateral relations.

The Polish side was urged to take immediate and effective measures to put an end to such provocative campaigns against Azerbaijan.
