Weather forecasters revealed the forecast for the beginning of September
"In Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, rain will occur at times. Thunderstorms are expected in certain areas of the peninsula, with possible downpours and heavy precipitation. From the morning of September 1, the precipitation will gradually cease."
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAJ, this was stated by the director of the Bureau of Hydrometeorological Forecasts of the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Gulshad Mammadova.
She noted that during the daytime hours of September 1, predominantly dry weather is expected:
"The northwesterly wind, intensifying at times, will weaken during the daytime hours of September 1. The maximum air temperature will be 23–26 degrees above zero.
In the regions, on August 31, as well as over the next two days - September 1 and 2 - rainy weather will persist. In certain areas, precipitation will be of a downpour and intense nature, with thunderstorms and hail possible."
G. Mammadova also reported that due to the expected precipitation, a rise in water levels in rivers cannot be ruled out, and short-term floods are possible in some mountain rivers:
"From the evening of September 2, the precipitation will gradually cease. The maximum air temperature in lowland areas will be 25–30, and in mountainous areas - 18–23 degrees above zero."
