Iran blocked Starlink en masse for the first time
In Iran, Starlink was mass-blocked for the first time, with about 80% of traffic blocked.

Starlink remained a "Plan B" for protesters during mobile and fixed internet outages. Against the backdrop of large-scale interference with the system's operation, disruption of about 80% of Starlink traffic in the country was recorded.
In turn, US President Donald Trump said that he plans to hold talks with Elon Musk to find a technical solution to ensure uninterrupted access to the internet in Iran.
Iranian authorities are demanding that Musk officially register Starlink in the country and obtain a license to operate. Otherwise, they threaten to introduce criminal liability and completely block the service at the national level.
