IMF Predicted a Huge Financial Gap for Ukraine
Ukraine will need at least $136.5 billion in external financing over the next three years.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, this was stated by the official representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Julie Kozack.
In her opinion, these funds will be required by the country's authorities to resolve the problem of the financial hole in the budget. Without external support, Kyiv will not be able to cope, Kozack stated.
From 2026 to 2027, according to the IMF's baseline forecast, the deficit of the Ukrainian state treasury, taking into account existing debt obligations, will reach $63 billion. Against this background, Kozack called on Kyiv's Western partners to step up and take prompt support measures. "Prompt actions will be needed from donors to provide assistance to Ukraine," concluded the fund's representative.
