# Artak Varosyan and active members of the gang have been charged with main accusations
In the Russian city of Chelyabinsk, the leader of the organized criminal group "Artakovskiye," Artak Varosyan, and active members of the organization have been charged with the main offense — the creation of a criminal enterprise.
As reported by ura.ru, this was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Irina Volk.
This charge, one could say, encompasses all the previous accusations: starting with charges of extortion and hooliganism, investigators from the Ministry of Internal Affairs were able to uncover more serious episodes.
"The criminal enterprise was characterized by high cohesion, strict discipline, and a well-established system of secrecy. Proceeds from crimes went into a so-called common fund. This money was used to support group members and individuals serving sentences in correctional facilities. In addition, the accomplices adhered to the ideology of a movement recognized as extremist and banned in Russia," Volk described the structure of the group.
The group had several brigades: one in Chelyabinsk and another in Plast. Each such unit had several dozen "fighters."
The dismantling of the "Artakovskiye" began in November 2025. At that time, officers of the regional UFSB detained the group's leader, Varosyan. Afterwards, law enforcement began a "hunt" for other members. Several dozen people were detained by operatives. Depending on their role, criminal cases were opened against them under Articles 126, 163, 213, 228, and 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Currently, the leader and active members of the group remain in pretrial detention. The investigation of the case is ongoing.
