School Uniforms of Azerbaijan Became an Instrument of Iranian Intrigues
The story about school uniforms in Azerbaijan is rapidly acquiring political connotations, especially thanks to the efforts of those observing our country from beyond its borders. The requirements of educational institutions are being presented as alleged religious persecution, attacks on Islam.
This is stated in a report by Baku TV RU.
"But before blindly giving in to emotions, it is worth recalling a few things. In 2022, public outrage was sparked by a video clip in which Azerbaijani children in religious clothing performed the Iranian song 'Salam, Farmandi.' The filming took place near the Bibiheybat mosque.
Then information emerged about a similar case directly at school No. 1 in Yevlakh. A teacher made four students perform the same song right in the classroom. In 2023, in an Iranian video, children again — this time Iranian — sang lines containing threats against Azerbaijan. The song contained the following words: 'Do not stray from the path and do not dig your own grave with your own hands, Azerbaijan. Anyone who looks at Iran sideways must be destroyed.' And note, this is no longer just a religious song, but openly hostile rhetoric directed at Azerbaijan, involving children no less.
And now today we are witnessing hysteria, this time surrounding school uniforms in Azerbaijan. At the same time, reports are emerging about fake accounts with calls to go out and protest — classic elements of information attacks. In other words, a sensitive religious topic is being used as the foundation," the report states.
