An important agreement will be signed between Azerbaijan and Cambodia

Cambodia can play the role of a gateway to Southeast Asia for Azerbaijani companies.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, this was stated by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov at the Azerbaijan-Cambodia Business Forum.

The minister announced the signing of new documents.

"An agreement on the mutual protection and promotion of investments is being prepared, and I believe we will achieve this soon. Today we signed an intergovernmental framework agreement on trade and economic cooperation, as well as an agreement on the elimination of double taxation. We invite companies to share specific project proposals, including partnership needs, financing approaches, and target markets. The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, together with the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia, can support this process through facilitating contract conclusions, exchanging information on investment opportunities, and organizing sectoral monitoring events.

Our goal is economic relations that create long-term value for both countries and contribute to friendship. Azerbaijan and Cambodia are far from each other on the map, but in the modern economy, distances are measured not in kilometers, but by the strength of business ties," he said.
