Gates warned about unpleasant surprises from AI in 2027

Microsoft founder Bill Gates predicted a significant increase in the number of cyberattacks using artificial intelligence (AI) in 2027.

He made the corresponding statement on October 11 in an interview with CNN.

According to Gates, it is in the field of cybersecurity that the most dramatic changes will occur in the near future. He noted that over the next year, the world may face numerous problems related to digital threats.

"The area where we will probably see the most dramatic changes over the next year is cyberattacks. Over the next year, we are in for a lot of unpleasant surprises, primarily in the field of cybersecurity," Gates emphasized.

The businessman believes that at this stage, the main danger lies not in the risk of technology spiraling out of human control, but in the use of artificial intelligence tools by malicious actors.
