Scientists revealed when climate "death loops" will begin on Earth
Climatologists have identified critical "tipping points" in changing meteorological conditions that could lead to catastrophic consequences - the complete disappearance of the Amazon rainforest and the destruction of Greenland's ice sheet. According to forecasts from the scientific community, these ecological disasters may occur in the near future.
Recent scientific studies paint a disturbing picture: the collapse of key ecosystems on our planet could occur as early as 2038. Among the predicted disasters, scientists note not only the degradation of ice sheets but also large-scale flooding of coastal territories around the world.
An alarming fact is that even significant successes of specialists in climate science and the development of new methods for environmental conservation, apparently, will not be able to effectively counter the growing processes of global warming and increasingly frequent weather anomalies.
- More than a fifth of ecosystems worldwide are at risk of collapse, - climatologists warn in an interview with Livescience.
