President of Uzbekistan awards Ambassador of Azerbaijan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on June 22 received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan (RA) Huseyn Guliyev, who is completing his diplomatic mission.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

Mirziyoyev particularly noted the fruitful activities and personal contribution of the Ambassador of the RA to the development and strengthening of the strategic partnership and alliance relations between the two countries.

An intensive dialogue has been established at the highest and other levels. Notable progress has been achieved in the trade and economic sphere: in recent years, trade turnover has increased manifold, 280 enterprises with the participation of Azerbaijani capital have been established, and a Joint Investment Company has been founded.

Cooperation projects in the fields of geology, agriculture, transport, urban development, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and other sectors are in an active phase.

Important programs in the field of cultural and humanitarian exchange are being implemented.

At the conclusion of the meeting, for his great contribution to strengthening the multifaceted Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations, the President of Uzbekistan presented Huseyn Guliyev with the Order of "Mehnat Shuhrati" (Labor Glory).

In turn, the ambassador expressed deep gratitude to the leader of Uzbekistan for the highest appreciation of his diplomatic mission, and also thanked him for the comprehensive support in developing full-scale cooperation between the countries.
