It is difficult for me to speak Azerbaijani.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, this was stated by Azerbaijani fighter Rafael Fiziev, who is set to face Manuel Torres in the main event of the UFC Fight Night tournament.

According to the athlete, his father is Azerbaijani and his mother is Russian:

"Unfortunately, where I grew up, Azerbaijani is not spoken. But over time, I have been learning the language more and more. I hope that in some time I will be able to speak it fluently."

The fighter also commented on the possible return of Conor McGregor to the UFC.

"Conor McGregor's return to the UFC is very good news. But he hasn't stepped into the octagon for five years. His opponent has had quite a few impressive fights during that time and is in excellent shape, so it will be very tough for Conor," Fiziev said.

As a reminder, this year the UFC Fight Night tournament will take place on June 27 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. In the main event of the evening, Azerbaijan's representative in the lightweight division Rafael Fiziev will face Manuel Torres (Mexico). In the co-main event in the middleweight division, Sharabutdin Magomedov (Shara Bullet) will fight Michel Pereira.

As part of the tournament, Azerbaijani fighters Tair Abdullayev, Nazim Sadykhov, and Farman Hasanov will also step into the octagon. They will compete against Brazilians Jeferson Nascimento, Mateus Camilo, and American Eric Nolan, respectively.
