A common product that increases the risk of stroke has been named
Excessive sugar consumption can seriously increase the risk of developing stroke, heart attack, and other dangerous cardiovascular diseases. Cardiologist Dmitry Orlov warned about this while commenting on the impact of sweet products on the human body.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "Tsargrad," the specialist noted that prolonged sugar abuse creates an increased burden on the heart and blood vessels. According to the Russian expert, regular consumption of large amounts of sweets contributes to rising blood pressure, the development of atherosclerosis, and diabetes. As a result, over time, the likelihood of myocardial infarction or stroke increases significantly.
The doctor emphasized that the danger is posed not only by confectionery products such as pastries, candies, and cakes. A considerable amount of sugar is also found in products that many people do not consider sweet. These include carbonated drinks, packaged juices, fruit yogurts, various sauces, and ready-made semi-finished products.
At the same time, the cardiologist does not call for completely eliminating sugar from the diet. Instead, he recommends practicing moderation: giving up sugary drinks, reducing the number of desserts, and replacing some of the usual sweets with fruits and nuts. This approach will help reduce the burden on the cardiovascular system and lower health risks.
