Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia are working on creating a unified long-term tariff model for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
As reported by Kazakh media, this was stated by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a joint roundtable with European business representatives.
According to him, the parties are simultaneously implementing a number of key infrastructure projects. These include expanding the cargo fleet on the Caspian Sea, conducting dredging works jointly with Azerbaijan, as well as modernizing the port of Kuryk.
Tokayev emphasized that all these measures are aimed at increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the Middle Corridor.
