Some municipalities have been renamed in Azerbaijan
Two municipalities and the settlements within them have been renamed in the Guba district.
As reported by President.az, the corresponding changes are reflected in the law "On amendments to the appendix to the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan (RA) 'On territories and lands of municipalities' - 'List of municipalities in the Republic of Azerbaijan'," approved by President of the RA Ilham Aliyev.
According to the law, the Timiryazev-Alekseyevka municipality will be renamed to Bakhrali-Chinarli, and the Vladimirovna municipality will be renamed to Elbir.
In accordance with the document, the territorial units of the same name that are part of these municipalities will also receive new names.
Thus, the Bakhrali-Chinarli municipality will encompass the villages of Bakhrali, Chinarli, Igrig, Hajar-Zeyid, and Zizik.
The Elbir municipality will include the villages of Agbil, Ashagi-Atuj, Dellekli, Elbir, Alibekgishlag, Mirzamamedkend, and Susaygishlag.
