Five scientifically proven ways to increase happiness levels revealed
Physician-therapist and nutritionist Irina Tyurina named five scientifically proven ways to increase happiness levels. She shared this in a conversation with journalists.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "Lenta.ru", from a medical perspective, happiness is the result of complex biochemical processes in the body. Dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, and oxytocin play a key role in these processes. The amino acid tryptophan is also important, as it is necessary for the synthesis of serotonin, which affects emotional stability and inner peace.
According to the specialist, one of the main steps to feeling happiness is a calm start to the day. Morning stress, anxious news, and rushing increase cortisol levels, preventing the body from entering "joy mode." The doctor advises waking up without fuss, turning on light music, drinking coffee or tea by the window, and spending a few minutes in natural morning light - this helps reduce stress and stimulates dopamine production.
Tyurina also noted the benefits of 15-minute walks during daylight hours and genuine laughter. These simple actions promote the production of serotonin and endorphins - natural antidepressants. Walks help to "reboot" the brain and activate creative thinking, while laughter improves the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, enhances blood flow to the brain, and supports the production of "happiness hormones."
