An evacuation flight is being carried out for citizens of Azerbaijan located in the Middle East
In connection with the events in the Middle East, a safe evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens whose flights were canceled is being carried out from the city of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) to Baku.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of CJSC "Azerbaijan Airlines" (AZAL), a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft is expected to land at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in the coming hours. The evacuation flight plans to bring a total of 209 citizens back to their homeland.
"Currently, the national air carrier AZAL is operating flights safely and on a scheduled basis in accordance with procedures established by the competent authorities. In the coming days, additional evacuation flights to Baku from other Middle Eastern destinations are planned.
