In Baku, a driver fatally hit a 45-year-old woman and fled the scene
Footage has spread showing a driver fatally hitting a pedestrian and fleeing the scene in Baku.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Xəzər TV, the video shows three citizens trying to cross the road. Two of them stop after noticing an approaching car, while the third tries to run across the road and gets hit by the vehicle.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the incident occurred on March 31 around 23:00 in the Khatai district. An unknown vehicle hit a 45-year-old resident of the capital, who died from her injuries.
As a result of operational measures, police officers detained the perpetrator of the accident - 31-year-old Baku native Shamkhal Shirinov.
