Two more bodies of shipwreck victims found off the coast of Kyrenia

The bodies of two more people listed as missing after a passenger vessel sank have been found off the coast of Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to NTV, the remains were recovered at a distance of approximately 1 km from the disaster site, from a depth of 570 m.

According to the information, DNA analyses will be conducted to identify the deceased.

The search for other missing persons continues.

It should be recalled that on August 30, a vessel sank off the coast of Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus. The 239 people on board were rescued. Taking into account the bodies found today, the death toll from the incident has reached 17, while 11 people are still considered missing. In connection with the incident, 9 people have been detained, including three citizens of Azerbaijan.
