Heavy rains and hail expected in Azerbaijan - WARNING

On September 29, rain is expected in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, with brief thunderstorms possible in certain parts of the peninsula.

Rain is expected across the regions of Azerbaijan from September 29 through the evening of September 30, with thunderstorms, hail, and snow in mountainous areas possible in certain locations.

Due to the expected precipitation, there is a likelihood of rising water levels in rivers, and in particular, brief floods and mudflows may occur in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus regions, as well as in the Lankaran-Astara region.
