Elshad Jose has been hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital?

In recent days, claims have been spreading on social media and some news websites about the deterioration of the health of the well-known Azerbaijani rapper Elshad Khose and his hospitalization at the Republican Psychiatric Hospital located in the Baku settlement of Mashtaga.

To clarify the situation, a Baku TV reporter visited the Republican Psychiatric Center. The medical institution stated that the information being spread on social media and some news resources does not correspond to reality.

In response to the editorial inquiry from the TV channel, the press service of the Ministry of Health also noted that, in accordance with Azerbaijani legislation, information about a person's mental health, as well as about seeking psychiatric and narcological assistance, constitutes medical confidentiality and is protected by the state.

The ministry's statement emphasized that information about whether a particular person is registered at a psychiatric or narcological medical institution cannot be provided to third parties or the media.

Such information may only be disclosed in cases provided for by law, with the consent of the person themselves, or upon a lawful request from authorized state bodies.

Thus, although the Republican Psychiatric Center denied the circulated claims, the Ministry of Health, citing legal requirements, neither confirmed nor denied the information about Elshad Khose.
