The 10th Caspian Air Cargo Summit was distinguished by a record number of participants and significant announcements

The tenth Caspian Air Cargo Summit, organized by Silk Way West Airlines at the Baku Congress Center, distinguished itself with a record number of participants and significant announcements, strengthening Azerbaijan's position as a strategic hub on the global logistics map.
Over 400 delegates from more than 45 countries, including executives from DSV, Boeing, Airbus, Rolls-Royce, Atlas Air Worldwide, ACL Airshop, Hactl, Kales Group and other global companies, gathered in Baku to discuss the future of air cargo, logistics and multimodal transportation.
The summit highlighted the ambitious development strategy of Silk Way Group and Azerbaijan's growing role in Eurasian logistics. A key element of these plans is the airport and cargo village project in the Alat Free Economic Zone with an area of 750 hectares. This modern transport hub will combine air, sea, road and rail routes. The facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, with operations beginning in early 2027. As part of this project, Silk Way Group announced the creation of a joint venture with dnata for aircraft ground handling, the signing of a memorandum of understanding with ExecuJet for the development of business aviation services and FBO services (fixed-base operator), as well as the establishment of a Gulfstream regional service center at the new airport.
Silk Way West Airlines is also implementing a fleet renewal program, acquiring ten Boeing 777 freighters and four Airbus A350s, which will be part of one of the youngest and most efficient long-haul cargo fleets in the world. The conference also discussed the strategic growth of the Middle Corridor in global trade, the importance of digital innovations, sustainable aviation and investment opportunities in Central Eurasia.
"The tenth Caspian Air Cargo Summit reflects not only the path we have traveled over the past decades, but also the dynamism of our industry," said Zaur Akhundov, President of Silk Way Group. "Thanks to our partners and customers, we meet all challenges and take advantage of opportunities that strengthen Azerbaijan's role as a global logistics hub."
Launched in 2006, the Caspian Air Cargo Summit has become the leading event in the field of air transportation and logistics in Central Asia and the Caucasus. The summit, hosted by Silk Way West Airlines and organized by Euroavia International, introduces global industry leaders to the dynamically developing opportunities of the Middle Corridor.
Silk Way West Airlines, founded in 2012 in Baku, in the heart of the Silk Road, operates hundreds of flights worldwide monthly on Boeing 777F, 747-8F and 747-400F aircraft based at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. In line with its commitment to sustainability and efficiency, Silk Way West Airlines plans to upgrade its fleet with new modern aircraft by 2030, including Boeing 777F, Boeing 777-8F and Airbus A350F, to better meet global logistics needs. The airline offers comprehensive cargo services to more than 40 destinations in Europe, CIS countries, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas, providing an annual cargo turnover of more than 500 thousand tons.
