The house-museum of People's Artist Tahir Salakhov will be renovated with the support of Baku Steel Company

CJSC "Baku Steel Company" (hereinafter – BSC) and the Administration of the State Historical-Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher" signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the project of renovation and digitalization of the House-Museum of People's Artist Tahir Salahov.

The document was signed by Rufat Mahmud, Chairman of the Board of the Administration of the State Historical-Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher," and Kamal Ibragimov, General Director of BSC.

Within the framework of the project, the exhibition halls, technical infrastructure, and memorial zones of the house-museum will be renovated in accordance with modern museum standards. The goal of the project is to preserve the rich artistic heritage of Tahir Salahov, bring it to a wider audience through modern exhibition methods, and create an interactive museum experience for visitors.

Speaking at the memorandum signing ceremony, Rufat Mahmud, Chairman of the Board of the Administration of the State Historical-Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher," noted that People's Artist Tahir Salahov holds a special place in Azerbaijani culture. He stated that the modernization of the artist's house-museum in line with modern requirements is of great importance for preserving his legacy and presenting it to a wider audience.

BSC General Director Kamal Ibragimov emphasized that Tahir Salahov, one of the outstanding representatives of Azerbaijani fine arts, made a significant contribution to promoting Azerbaijan's cultural heritage worldwide. According to him, preserving the artist's rich legacy and passing it on to future generations through modern formats is of particular importance. Kamal Ibragimov noted that supporting initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting national cultural values is one of the key areas of BSC's corporate social responsibility activities.
