Turkestan Declaration: e-Permit system will increase the efficiency of cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor
The full-scale launch of the e-Permit system and the integration of the National Single Window will contribute to increasing the efficiency and transparency of cargo transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).
As Report informs, this is stated in the Turkestan Declaration adopted today following the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
According to the document, the leaders call for the promotion of the "Digital Silk Road" project and similar digital infrastructure projects.
The heads of state also welcome the signing on April 23, 2026, in Bishkek of the Memorandum of Understanding between the ministries of transport of the OTS member states on the implementation of the e-CMR system and call on the relevant authorities of the member states to complete the review of the draft Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Electronic Digital Signatures.
"We welcome the full-scale launch of the e-Permit system and support the integration of the National Single Window, including the e-Permit, e-CMR, and e-government systems of the member states, with the aim of simplifying cross-border documentation, reducing administrative barriers, ensuring real-time cargo tracking, and increasing the efficiency and transparency of cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor," the declaration states.
The importance of further implementation of the eTIR procedure to facilitate international cargo transportation and the readiness to complete the necessary technical and legal work as soon as possible were also emphasized.
