President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev addressed the leaders at the informal Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in the Kazakh city of Turkestan.

This was reported in a segment by the Turkish television channel Haber Global.

The head of state emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation among member states, stating that the Turkic world must become one of the influential geopolitical centers of power of the 21st century. In his speech, Ilham Aliyev also noted the growing influence of the organization on the international stage.

"Our cooperation with Turkic states in the transport sector is expanding. In the current global geopolitical conditions, the significance of the Middle Corridor is increasing even further. The Zangezur corridor being implemented will become one of the key segments of the Middle Corridor," said the President of Azerbaijan.

Ilham Aliyev also announced the successful development of cooperation among Turkic states in the field of digital development. According to him, in the coming months, the Trans-Caspian fiber-optic communication line between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, which is an integral part of this project, is planned to be put into operation.
