Putin dined with his teacher in the Kremlin
Russian President Vladimir Putin invited his former teacher Vera Gurevich to the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow and offered her to stay in the capital for a few more days. A special cultural program was prepared for the educator, and later the head of state invited her to dinner at his Kremlin residence.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Russian media, this was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov. According to him, Vera Dmitrievna attended the parade on May 9 at the personal invitation of her former student and spent the entire event in the stands.
The Kremlin spokesperson noted that after the celebrations, the teacher remained in Moscow. A packed excursion program was organized for her: she visited art exhibitions, including the Shilov Gallery, as well as several cultural events.
Later, on May 11, Vladimir Putin invited his former class teacher to dinner at his residence in the Kremlin.
Vera Gurevich is currently 92 years old. She taught at the school where the future Russian leader studied and was his class teacher for many years. Putin has repeatedly emphasized that she had a significant influence on his development and has also mentioned that he continues to maintain contact with her many years later.
